National workshop
The National Workshop on Tabernanthe Iboga will be held at the African University of Management (Libreville / GABON) at a later date to be announced
Theme: conservation and promotion of Tabernanthe Iboga: National preparatory workshop for the International Forum on "Status and Perspectives of the use of Iboga in Gabon". Research centers, universities, laboratories, researchers, and others interested in Iboga are invited to take part in this workshop which will focus on seven themes:
History and overview
Tradition, rituals and beliefs
Valuation of Iboga
Legal and geopolitical framework
Botany, ecology, agriculture and production
Studies: chemical, pharmacological and ethnological
Ethno-Pharmacopeia and traditional medicines
Each topic shall be analyzed as follows:
- Current status
- Issues and challenges
- General and specific objectives
- Expected results
- Outlook
- stakeholders
Workshop Itinerary
DAY 1:
Session 1: Welcome and reception
- Presentation of the workshop
- Presentation of the of organization, scientific committee and the general secretariat
- Introduction to the work of the commissions
